We are going to get SNOW!
March 1, 2009
Hi! This is Klondike! I am so excited cause my Mommy told me that we are supposed to get lots and lots of snow tonight! All of our snow has melted and there are only a few spots in the yard with snow or ice left. I hope Mommy remembers to put the camera on the charger so she can put new pictures on my site for everyone to see.
The other day I did something REALLY FUNNY at work. My Aunt JoAnne works there and I always try to beg for cookies. She usually caves and gives me what I want, I think it's because she thinks I am sexy. Well Mommy had said "NO MORE COOKIES" so Aunt JoAnne wouldn't give me any. So, what's a sexy girl to do? Well, I'll tell ya. I burped in her face and then turned around and farted RIGHT on her! I love you Aunt JoAnne!

Nothing much going on
October 12, 2008
My Auntie Terri said she would be chcking my blog every day so I figured I should post here so she has something to read, ha,ha. This one's for you Aunt Terri...
We didn't do too much today, we were all kind of lazy. I did unstuff and disect one of my toys in the backyard though. That was fun. Now it looks like it snowed in the yard. I wish it were snow cause I just love that stuff so much! I like to dig in it with my nose and eat a bunch of it too. Mommy said she hopes it stays nice out for a while. I thought snow was nice. What does she know.
I have been such a good girl with getting my nails cut and my paw hair trimmed. Mommy says it makes it easier for me to walk on the hardwood floors cause I don't slip and slide too much. I guess it helps. When Mommy cut the cat's (mango) nails I got jealous and gave Mommy my paw so she could trim my nails again. Afterall, it ususally means I get a cookie when I am done.
I haven't gone to work...

Just wanted to say Hi
October 9, 2008
Hi everyone. I just wanted to stop in and say hello. I have been a good girl for the most part. Mom says I don't smell too bad anymore, just when she kisses my face. She told me that if I wanna play with a skunk again to make sure I don't get sprayed in the eyes and in my upright ear, cause it is hard to clean in there. She said it will probably smell for a while. Oh well.
This past weekend I tried to help Mommy get rid of the skunk smell by rolling in some very interesting stuff that I found in the yard. And I did it just as Mommy was running late to go out somewhere without me. She actually started to cry when she saw what I did. I don't think they were tears of joy either. She made horrible heaving noises as she cleaned me up the best she could. The next day I got ANOTHER bath. Oh the HORROR! I don't like baths too much but I am good for them. The part I really love is the blowdryer. It is the coolest thing in the world. I even get jealous...

Bad Kitty
September 25, 2008
Well, I guess I really did it this time... I listened to Muggsey and Vixxen when they told me to go and chase that funny walking black and white kitty cat on the other side of the fence. I didn't even wonder at the time why they weren't chasing the cat with me. It turns out it wasn't a cat at all, but something that Mommy called a da*n skunk. All I know is that nobody want to pet me and they get upset when I try to rub my face on them or the couch. Mommy keeps putting this stuff on my face with a cotton ball. She said it will help to take the bad stinky smell away. I think I smell pretty, what does she know anyway. I was quite upset right after that kitting skunk thing sprayed me in my face. Mom said I looked depressed, but I feel much better now.
Love,
Klondike

MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!
July 1, 2008
Well, today was just about the best day I have had in a long time. It is my 2nd Birthday and I got to have two parties! Did you hear that? Not just one Birthday party, but TWO!!!!! Maybe when I am three I will get three parties, but Mom said don't count on that! Mom also told me not to tell Muggsey and Vixxen that I had 2 parties because they might get jealous.
My first party was at work at the kennel, and my best friend Angus came and let us put ribbons in his hair for the occasion. My friend Emily (who works at the kennel) and her boyfriend Josh bought me the coolest Birthday cookie. You can see pictures of it on my "2 Years Old" page. Then it was time to go home and have a party with Muggsey and Vixxen, Mommy and Daddy and Uncle Tommy. I sure like being spoiled the way I am, although I don't think it is possible to be spoiled too much!!!
What a great day, I can't wait until next year!
Love,
Klondike

Update On Yesterday's Episode
January 24, 2008
We went to our doctor today and did some heart tests and also blood work, CBC and the Coombs test, for something called AIHA (autoimmune hemolytic anemia) and more coagulation panels, and last but not least, a urinalysis. She seems OK until she is stressed and then she goes all pale again. It happened again when they were doing an EKG on her, but she snapped out of it when the stress was gone (not as pale as yesterday, but still obvious, and it came and went). Her numbers for the EKG were on the very low end of the reference range, and it dropped below normal a few times during the test. The EKG was sent out to the lab for it to be reviewed by a cardiologist. We will know what direction we are headed in after all of the test results come back, hopefully tomorrow.
My doctor had a much easier time getting blood from her, but not as easy as it usually is. Her temp was 102.4 if I remember correctly.
After I took her to the vet I brought her back to work with me. When Joe went to take her to his truck she...

Unexpected Vet Visit
January 23, 2008
Not too sure what is going on, or what went on, but we are finally home now. Klondike, my hubby and I were leaving work for the day. She usually rides with him on the way home and as we approached his truck, she didn't want to get in. She kept pulling back, put her tail between her legs and dropped her ears down and played "mule". When I opened the door to my truck she jumped up and wanted to come with me, so, of course I picked her up and got her in the truck. That's when I saw that her gums and tongue were stark white and she began to act lethargic. My regular vet isn't in today but the vet that I use for my kennel borders was in the office when I called and we raced down there. I was so afraid because of her bleeding disorder that there was something major going on.
We tried to take blood from and had no luck for over 20 minutes. The doc said she hardly had any blood pressure. We finally got some blood and he did some in house testing on it, all counts came back...

Not so happy update
January 11, 2008
Well, Klondike usually writes her own blogs, but this time she asked me to write it for her. I'm hoping it will make me feel better by getting my feelings out.
Klondike has not being doing as well as I would have hoped at the young age of 18 months. She is usually the happiest girl in the world, but I can tell that she is a little depressed. Her left side of her rear has really been bothering her a lot as of late. She is bearing weight on her left side, but she has also began to drag her leg behind her a bit when she walks. You can really notice it on a hard surface like hardwood or tile. The sound of her walking reminds me of when my Grandmother would shuffle around in in slippers when she got older. When Klondike comes inside the house with muddy paws you can see that she is dragging her foot/leg behind her because she will leave what I call her "muddy skid-marks". I have also been noticing that she is having difficulty going up stairs. Luckilly, she doesn't have to use the stairs often, just when we go to work, and she only goes up the...
